Face it honey, if he hasn’t replied in days you have officially been GHOSTED!

Oh ghosts, what scary creatures. I blame Casper the friendly ghost for seeding the thought into our heads that it’s okay to fall in love with ghosts like him. But at least Casper is actually dead and buried whereas the guy that ghosted us is only playing dead. Yikes!

It can start off with late replies and dozen of different excuses like “oh sorry, I was busy with school” or “hey sorry I fell asleep.” And then it becomes an endless routine of apologies until there is nothing left to say.

The next thing you know, you’re either seen or inboxed. Ouch!

Nevertheless, it only means one thing. They aren’t as interested with you as they were before or as you thought they were.

Of course that only applies in the “getting to know each other” stage. Actual relationships are a whole different context. I mean, there comes a time when a person doesn’t feel like socialising. In my case, a lot of times. It doesn’t always mean I’m not interested, sometimes I’m just lazy.

Then again truth be told, no matter how busy I am one message from my crush instantly puts me into a reply mood.

Word of advice, pack what’s left of your dignity and leave! Not getting a message is THE MESSAGE. It doesn’t mean that you aren’t worthy of any explanation, don’t overthink it. It simply means that it’s not meant to happen.
